Pura Luhur Andakasa

In the structure of the Gods Nawasanga, Pura Luhur Andakasa a monument or stana Hyang Brahma which controls the southern region, the manifestation of Hyang Widhi who inhabit the nine cardinal directions. Judging from its name, Andakasa reminds us of the word akasa, which means sky or heaven. This temple was standing at the majestic height of 200 meters above sea level, precisely located at the geographic position of 8 degrees 30 latitude and 115 degrees 30 east longitude, the region Angantelu Indigenous Village, Manggis District, Karangasem regency.

            To reach this temple we should walk away with a slightly uphill, along the overgrown nature of natural shade trees. From the above we can see the beautiful panorama. From Denpasar, to reach this temple we have to travel about 60 miles to the east, or 20 miles east of the city Semarapura, the capital of Klungkung regency.

From the relics of the instructions written there, this temple was founded by the MPU Kuturan around XI century.the temple was allegedly closely associated with Hindu religious leaders SangKul putih. Red Color
